College Inn® has a rich history, originating in the 1920s as the famous College Inn restaurant in Chicago’s Hotel Sherman. At the College Inn restaurant, Chef Joe Colton’s famous Chicken a la King dish was made with a secret recipe chicken broth. Today, College Inn® continues to be a staple in the Northeast, and maintains the same restaurant quality in our packaged broths and stocks.
College Inn® products are available primarily in the eastern U.S. College Inn is available at Albertsons, Safeway, Giant Eagle, Publix, Stop & Shop, Shoprite, Walmart and other retailers online and near you.
Our turkey broth is a seasonal item—it’s only available from October through December.

No, College Inn® Broth is meant to be used undiluted.
Yes, the following varieties are gluten free:
We recommend that, once open, you use the broth within 4 to 5 days if it’s refrigerated, and 60 days if it’s frozen.
College Inn® Turkey Broth contains milk and eggs. Dairy ingredients, along with allergen information, are listed on the label.
We do offer lower sodium varieties for people who are watching their salt intake including: College Inn® Less Sodium Chicken Broth (40% less than regular), Less Sodium Beef Broth (50% less then regular), Less Sodium Garden Vegetable Broth (40% less than regular), Less Sodium Chicken Bone Broth (35% less than regular), Less Sodium Beef Bone Broth (35% less than regular).
Broths without vegetable ingredients are considered acceptable for people who are on a “clear liquid diet.” These include Chicken Broth, Beef Broth and their lower-sodium varieties.
Yes, our cans are made of recyclable steel.
