Ingredients

2 lbs. stew beef, cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces

1 carton (24 oz.) College Inn® Hearty Beef Simple Starter® Sauce

3 cups cut gold potatoes (1 1/2-inch pieces)

3 cups cut carrots (1-inch pieces)

1 1/2 cups (8 oz.) sliced white mushrooms, optional

Directions

Stove Top

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large, deep skillet or Dutch oven; stir.
  2. Bring just to a boil over med-high heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Cover; simmer 2 hours over low heat, stirring occasionally.

TIP: To thicken sauce before serving, cook on HIGH, uncovered, stirring occasionally. 

 

Slow Cooker

  1. Combine all ingredients in a 6-qt. slow cooker; stir.
  2. Cover; cook on HIGH 5 hours or LOW 8 hours.

TIP: To thicken sauce before serving, cook on HIGH, uncovered, stirring occasionally.

 

Electric Pressure Cooker

  1. Set a 6-qt. electric pressure cooker to Sauté; add beef and cook 7 minutes without stirring. Stir; cook beef additional 7 minutes. Press Cancel.
  2. Add sauce; stir. Layer potatoes, carrots and mushrooms, if using, over beef.
  3. Set to Pressure Cook 12 minutes on high. Quick release steam.

TIP: To thicken sauce before serving, cook uncovered on Sauté, until desired consistency, stirring frequently.
