MSG (Monosodium Glutamate) is
a flavor enhancer that is used in some of our broths.
If present in the product, MSG will be labeled in
the ingredient statement. If you wish to avoid MSG,
our Vegetable Broth variety does not contain it.
College Inn® Turkey Broth, which is a seasonal item,
is also free of MSG. |

What is Thiamine
Hydrochloride in the beef broth? |

It is a B vitamin added to enhance
the flavor. It adds a salty nutlike taste to the
flavoring and is water soluble. |

Why is the
sodium content so high in the broth? |
|
It is typical for broth, consommé
and bouillon to have fairly high levels of sodium.
We recognize that some consumers may wish to limit
their sodium intake, and we do make Low Sodium broth
varieties (Chicken and Beef) that have approximately
50% less sodium than the full flavored broth. |
